| Sat 11 Sep | NRA Open Day (National Shooting Centre (NSC), Bisley)
Our second Open Day will be held on Saturday 11 September 2010. Visitors will be able to try shotgun, air rifle, fullbore rifle, sporting rifle, laser clays, precision snap, practical and historical rifles to name but a few, all with one-to-one coaching.
ALL visitors will be required to pre-register before the day as we will be unable to register visitors on the day.
1. Age restrictions will apply to children under 17 years of age for some shooting activities.
2. All children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult who must sign for them at Registration on the day.
3. All visitors wishing to shoot must purchase vouchers. Vouchers are sold in sheets of 10 vouchers costing £10 per sheet, with a maximum purchase of £20 per person via the internet or on the day. The vouchers can then be redeemed for any of the activities.
4. Everyone attending must produce a valid form of ID and proof of address (eg: Driving Licence plus a Utility bill) in order to collect their tickets on the day.

Open to all competitors, the Fiasco must be the greatest shoot of the year! This shoot offers a break from the norm as we aim to make the weekend a fun and relaxing wind down to the season. The Fiasco also provides an excuse to shoot if you need to winterise the Caravan or just simply to have a chilled out, leisurely shoot.
The Freelancers Fiasco is also designed to bring new blood into the sport. We often have a large number of beginners shooting the weekend. So if you have never tried shooting before, here?s your chance! Coaching and equipment will be provided and the format for the weekend is Queens I, II and III.
The North London Rifle Club has been booked for a formal dinner on the Saturday evening as it is known for its superb menu and quality of service.
We do hope to see new and old faces for a competitive and fun weekend.

There are also competitions for those of you who have an interest in Target Shotgun. For shooters who crave longer distances there are Fullbore 'Action' competitions are held simultaneously at 200 yards.

This course is only open to qualified NRA RCOs.
The course is to train RCOs in the zeroing procedures which are now required when ammunition generating a ME greater than 4500 joules is fired on military ranges. This is a half-day course involving both classroom work and an on-range zeroing demonstration. The course is run regularly at Bisley and regionally, on request to the NRA.

A Mini Palma Match will be held on Saturday 16 April 2011 for teams of eight from any club, school or county affiliated to the NRA.
We have booked the whole of Stickledown for the day so we can accept 25 teams. The Purples Match will be held on the following day which will hopefully give many teams a great weekend's shooting.
If your club, school or county would be interested in competing in this match please contact Karen Robertson by clicking below. Teams will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis and we will require a deposit to confirm acceptance.
The course of fire should be as follows;
08:30 onwards Practice at 800 yards
10:00 - 12:00 2 & 15 at 800 yards
13:30 - 15:30 2 & 15 at 900 yards
15:30 - 17:30 2 & 15 at 1000 yards
Targets: Palma targets throughout.
Clubs may enter more than one team.
Conditions of match, match costs, ammunition, prizes etc will be notified once we have an idea of interest but the price will be the exact cost of targets, markers, ammunition and prizes. There will be prizes in different classes of team so you won't need a GB wind coach to win something!
And who knows how many of your club members might just end up on the next Palma squad?!

For county, club or "scratch" teams of eight firers with two coaches. Match conditions 2 sighters & 10 to count at 300, 500 & 600 yards. Half of the teams will shoot in the morning and the other half in the afternoon. Trophy and medals will be presented to the winning team as well as medals for the second placed team and a silver salver for highest individual score.
