Scoring - an explanation

How to mark

Two indicators are used when marking a target, the first is the spotting disc, which is inserted into the actual shot hole. The second, the scoring panel indicates the actual value of the shot. Normally, this should be clear but it becomes more important when the shot is colse to a line.

The highest possible score for a shot is 5 points, however, if the shot is in the inner-most ring, it is called a 'V-Bull'. The number of 'V-Bulls' are counted up separately and shown after a score. So for example, a ten-shot competition has a highest possible score (HPS) of 50.10.

The scoring panel can be inserted into one of the four holes along the bottom of the target. It is also reversible (orange on one side and black on the other) so that the extreme values are signalled in orange. Below you can see how the different scores are marked. When the shot touches a line, it is counted as being in and so the shooter receives the higher value.
